My Story

My journey with diabetes started unexpectedly after the COVID-19 pandemic. In a routine check-up in 2021, my sugar levels were slightly above 125, leading to a diagnosis—though I had no symptoms or health issues from it.

Weight had always been a concern. I once touched 94 kg but brought it down to 80 with lifestyle changes. Currently, I am at 83 kg.  There’s no family history of diabetes either.

Thinking about my initial weight gain, I would honestly like to admit it was due to a sedentary lifestyle, mental stress from business responsibilities, And a natural disinterest in physical activity. I’ve always been someone who’d rather spend hours reading a book than doing anything outdoors—something that’s been true since childhood.

The real wake-up call came when I had a retinal hemorrhage in my left eye. While many assumed it was due to high BP or diabetes, I had low blood pressure and wasn’t on any diabetes medication at the time

How was FFD introduced and why did I choose it? 

This eye condition was a serious wake-up call for me. The painful eye injection shook me deeply. With my daughter in America, I knew I had to take charge of my health to stay independent. That’s when I found Freedom from Diabetes (FFD) through Dr. Pramod Tripathi’s videos on Facebook and YouTube.

Reversal Story

The FFD team performed a detailed study of my case and designed a tailor-made plan. As I followed the program, I saw remarkable changes.

My HbA1c, Which once peaked at 6.6, dropped and stabilized around 6.1 became free from cholesterol and uric acid medications, though I never needed diabetes medicines.

However, My fasting sugar still hasn’t consistently dropped below 100. My current goal is to bring it under 100 and reduce my weight to 70 kg. My weight loss from 90 kg to 83 kg has been good.

I recently completed a 21-km walk as part of the sacred Narmada Parikrama—a huge milestone for someone who once avoided physical activity. This journey has reconnected me with a more energetic, Healthier version of myself.

The Inner Transformation (IT) sessions at FFD played a significant role in shifting my mindset. I let go of the belief that I’d always be overweight. With just 20-minute workouts, a focused diet, and daily meditation, I began losing 100–200 grams a day, which boosted my confidence. The visible results and kind words from others kept me going.

I still remember struggling to walk without getting breathless or being told to sit on a swing during a pilgrimage because of my weight while others climbed. That memory pushed me even harder.

Today, I walk faster, feel lighter, and wear what I love, not just what fits. My daughter used to tease me about my clothing choices, but now I choose with pride. This transformation has been Physical, Emotional, and Deeply Spiritual.

Now, I only compete with myself. My goal is to improve every day. As I say, “If I want to live to be 100, I must take care of my health.”
