#Day 41
THE FINAL DAY
Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni covered 98 km from Thirunelveli to Kanyakumari
Highlights
1. I was very happy as I was going to accomplish my dream today. Began the day at 4.15 after good rest. Fortunate to have cyclists from Nellai Bicycle Club to accompany me up to 25 km. Thanks to Mr. Kannan.
2. En route the scene was picturesque. I saw many wind mills.
3. We reached near Kanyakumari by 12.30 p.m. We were suggested by Gangadhar ji to take pictures as we reach our destination.
4. I saw made a video describing details of my bicycle.
5. Reached Kanyakumari by 2 p.m.
6. Went to Gandhi Mandap from where we could see Vivekanand Rock Memorial
7. Clicked by dream photo from a professional photographer with me lifting my bicycle above head. This will be a memory for forever.
8. Visited Vivekanand Rock Memorial
9. Received a surprise call from Zomato while we were going to visit Bhagavati Temple. Thanks to Chandrashekar T V my mentor for arranging a cake.
10. Thanks to everybody who made this possible.

Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni covered 108 km from Virudhunagar to Thirunelveli
Highlights
1. It was a great stay at Virudhunagar. Thanks to the rotary club members.
2. My day began at 4.15 am. En route I across Ramco Cement Factory
3. Parippu vada - a dal-based breakfast
4. Reached Thirunelvelli at 1.30 p.m.
6. Thank you Usha Raman ji, the founder principal of the school, Chitra Vasudevan ji and T K Ramesh
DTM TK Ramesh ji for a grand welcome, grand lunch, opportunity to ride cycle with 25 students and later address 300 + students. We are thankful to the staff and students of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Golden Jubilee Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
7. Flag exchange with 2 rotary clubs also took place in Thirunelveli.
8. Extremely eager for tomorrow as it is going to be the D-day. I will reach my dream destination Kanykumari.

#Day 39
Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni covered 110 km from Dindigul to Virudhunagar
Highlights
1. It was difficult to get up at the set time but I managed to wake up at 3.30 a.m. Lef Dindigul a bit late at 4.45 a.m.
2. Witnessed a beautiful sunrise and met Mr. Periswami who had travelled all the way from Madurai to meet me.
3. Met few Rotarians at a temple visit which was great.
4. Tried pearl millet porridge with buttermilk
5. Reached my destination by 1.45 p.m. It was a nice feeling of accomplishing my goal even after starting late.
6. My stay at Virudhunagar was arranged at Ram Residency. Thank you Rtn. Sudalai ji, Rtn Vijaya Kumar ji, Rtn. Pathinettam ji , Rtn DG VR Muthu ji for taking care of our stay and food at Virudhunaga.
7. Thanks to all members and office bearers of Virudhunagar Rotary club for calling a special meeting. Talked about our K2K journey and introduced FFD.
8. Excited for tomorrow as it is going to be the final day of my journey with lot of things planned.

Day 38
Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni covered 131 km from Namakkal to Dindigal
Highlights -
1. It was great visiting Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple and Narasimha Temple in Namakkal. Our stay at a hotel arranged by Rotary was very comfortable. The day started on a good note at 4.10 a.m.
2. I rode few kilometers and stopped at Anands a famous place for breakfast.
3. En route I saw a ground water recharging unit which was superb.
4. Amodini my daughter had a chance to take bath in tank which was refreshing for her
5. I realized it was getting hotter and hotter. So had to drench myself with water.
6. Reached Dindigal at 2.50 p.m.
7. Addressed around 15 - 20 Rotarians in Dindigal and exchanged flag of my club with 5 clubs in Dindigal. Thank you Jennifer and office bearers of all clubs
8. I am almost reaching my destination. Feeling excited for tomorrow's ride.

#Day 37
Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni covered 122 km from Puvidham to Namakkal
Highlights
1. Puvidham is an interior remote village so there is a scare of dogs chasing, barking and even biting. I started my day at 4.10 a.m. and faced trouble due to some dogs but could manage it. There was little bit of elevation so it took a while to reach the highway that was 9 km away.
2. One needs to cross ghats en route to Namakkal. I had to travel the other side of the road as one lane was closed due to some accident but I continued.
3. Took a break at Salem a district in Tamil Nadu
4. Reached Namakkal early by 5.30 p.m. as there were lot of events waiting for me.
5. It was great visiting Namakkal Anjaneya Temple a 1300 year old monument with an 18 feet tall Hanuman ji idol.
6. I also visited another temple Narasimha near Anjaneya Temple
7. I got a chance to address the Rotarians in Namakkal which was great
8. Also met Anand ji the seed saver who grows more than 200 variety of seeds which are on the verge of getting extinct
9. I am just 400 km away from my goal destination which excites me. Stay tuned...

REST DAY
Highlights
1. Day 35 was going to be a big day for Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni with several events arranged during the day. The day began with a mini cycle ride to Cubbon Park near Vidhan Sabha. Got great pictures with Vidhan Sabha as background. Visited Engineering college too.
2. Had session at Century Club, addressed a press meeting at Press Club, visited East Cultural Association in Indiranagar, felicitation at Rotary Club, Indiranagar.
3. Thanks to President Suhasini, Chandrashekarji, Bangalore high grounds and all FFD participants who made my day.
4. Tomorrow's plan to cycle from Bangalore and reach Puvidham. Stay tuned for further updates...

Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni covered 84 km from Tumkur to Bangalore
Highlights
1. Day 34 plan was to cycle a distance of 84 km from Tumkur to Bangalore. Tumkur a city from Karnataka is also known as 'Education Hub" . My stay in Tumkur at Sujata and Shivakumar ji place was a memorable stay. I got up at 3.30 a.m. and began my ride at 4.30 a.m. before dawn.
2. Faced issues with front disk break of my bicycle which were solved at a high-end cycle shop Cadence90.
3. It was great meeting old classmate Raghu, my maternal uncle Shridhar ji, cousin Rupa and FFD participant HKN Swami en route.
4. Learned warmup and cooling exercises from Deepu.
5. Tomorrow is going to be a big... stay tuned

Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni covered 144 km from Chitradurga to Tumkur
Highlights
1. Thanks to Navin for arranging a great stay at Chitradurga
2. Began cycling at 4.30 a.m.
3. Covered 60 km.
4. While riding towards Tumkur witnessed an unfortunate incident. It was an accident between two huge vehicles. Went to the accident spot, called the emergency and got help for injured people.
5. Began with my journey.
6. Had light breakfast at 10 a.m.
7. Had a refreshing swim in the 500 acre Kallembella lake near Sira, Tumkur
8. Reached Tumkur at 6.15 p.m.

Highlights

Highlights
1. Going to be a long cycling day so started got up at 2 p.m.
2. Began cycling at 3.15 p.m. from LIC Office Dharwad
3. Reached Bankapura toll 70 km from Dharwad by 8 a.m.
4. Cycled further to reach Vijayalakshmi and Satish Deshpande house where we had FFD style dal-based breakfast
5. Took rest between 11 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
6. Began cycling at 4.15 p.m.
7. Reached Ranebennur at 7.15 p.m.

8. It was great meeting Shripad Kulkarni en route

10. Reached my home at 1.20 pm., took lunch made by my mother.
11. Reached the place where a talk was arranged by M. D. Patil and Shivanand Kumbhar near LIC office, Dharwad

1. Thanked Shashi ji our FFD participant for a great stay at their place in Kolhapur

3. Faced road strips issue for some part of the route for which had to go down in to shoulder of the road
4. Had minor elbow injury and got first aid done.
5. Covered 2 ghats
6. Had lunch at 2.15 p.m. 30 km before Belgavi
7. Reached Belgavi at 6.15 p.m.
8. Exchanged flags at Ajanta Cafe and met rotarians
9. Met Mayuraji a cancer survivor and iron man herself.

It was the second rest day in the whole 40-day journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari for Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni.
Highlights
1. A million thanks to Dr. Pramod Tripathi for hosting my stay in Pune.
2. Reached FFD office at 6.30 to begin a short cycle run of 12 km in the city
3. Visited the renowned Dagadusheth Ganesh Temple, Shaniwar wada, Jangli Maharaj temple
4. There was a brief meditation which was wonderful
5. Came back to FFD office we I had an interactive session with FFD staff, mentors, cyclists.
6. Had a healthy breakfast in FFD office
7. Attended a press conference at Patrakar Bhavan. Thanks to Mr Samir FFD PR to have arranged it.
8. Had flag exchange ceremony in the evening.
9. Met and thanked Dr. Malhar for encouraging me to take up cycling.

1. Woke up early got ready by 4 but found front tyre punctured.
2. Got the tyre and disk break repaired. Thanks to Pruthvi and Kamal ji from Bangalore to help me.
3. Left Vadodara at 5.20 a.m.
4. Thanks to FFD participant Mr. Balaji to guide on the route to Bharuch.
5. Met several cyclists en route.
6. Reached Bharuch at 12 noon.
7. Got settled at Hotel Shalimar, Bharuch
8. Visited Statue of Unity near Kevadia, Gujarat
9. Had a wonderful visit
10. Came back to Bharuch, had interaction with TV channel and GJ16 peddlers group

9. Welcomed by FFD participants of Vadodara, had beautiful interaction with them till 8 p.m.

9. A presentation about 7 causes of diabetes was given by Dr. Kiran Vaswani.
10. Visited one school where I had a talk on benefits of cycling
11. Visited Decathlon and purchased arm covers and dehydration kit for future journey

7. Had interaction with 7-8 people about diabetes reversal

1. Started the day early at 5.30 am
2. Reached Pali bypass by 10.30 am
3. Cycled another 20 km and had a break at dhaba
4. Left the dhaba at 5 p.m.
5. Met huge traffice
6. Reached Sumerpur at 8.30 pm.

It was a Designated Rest Day.
Mr. Veeranarayan Kulkarni took rest in Jodhpur as planned.
Highlights
1. Stay at Umed Bhavan was excellent
2. Visited my friend Pruthvi uncle's house.
3. The pilot car had some issues so gave it for servicing
4. Had a haircut and head massage from Ashok Sen.
5. Had sumptuous meal in the afternoon
5. Took 2-hours refreshing nap.
6. Got the cycle serviced at the famous Ajit Cycles (since 1948).
7. Hitesh bhai the cycle shop owner serviced the cycle free of cost for our generous work.
8. Had a talk at Rotary Hall with 3 FFD participants Shashi, Rathore and Aman ji which was absolutely fruitful.
9. Had a spread out dinner at Aman Dutt's place where I got to taste a unique 'Gulab Jamun Sabji"
10. Cycled back to Housing board
