My Diabetes Story
My diabetes discovery happened during a routine company health check-up in 2016. Despite having no apparent symptoms, the test results confirmed this condition. HbA1c levels were at 7.8, and I was put on Galvus Met 50/500 daily. In addition to diabetes, I was also managing hypertension with prescribed medication. Despite my best efforts over the years, I found it challenging to reduce or eliminate his dependency on these medications.
There is a family history of diabetes, with both my parents managing their condition with medication.
What made me choose FFD?
I never liked being on medicines. I also wished to lose weight. FFD was offering hop so I enrolled in its annual program HTP.

Reversal Story
Upon joining the FFD course, I received clear guidelines on dietary modifications and daily exercise routines. Though the regimen seemed difficult at first, I was determined to reverse my diabetes.
My wife played a significant role in supporting me by ensuring that I followed the prescribed diet and meal plans. Over time, I adapted to the new lifestyle, even managing to adhere to the recommended diet while at work.
My doctor began reducing my diabetes medication dosage, and by the fourth month, I was completely off of the medication. My HbA1c levels improved and began remaining between 5.8 to 6.2.
My weight also saw a noticeable reduction, dropping from 112.4 kg to approximately 109-110 kg. While the weight loss was not drastic, It was a significant step in the right direction. Importantly, My blood pressure medication was also adjusted under medical supervision.
Around May or June 2024, My doctor reduced the hypertension medication dosage, and later, She prescribed a different, Milder medication.
I continue to maintain a disciplined approach to my diet, Avoiding carbohydrates such as rice and wheat-based products, Except for occasional consumption on weekends. Instead, I 0f0ocused on a high-protein diet incorporating millets like bajra.
Exercise played a crucial role in my transformation. I am committed to a minimum of 45 minutes of physical activity daily, Including Surya Namaskar, Knee exercises, and other prescribed workouts.
Initially, I participated in step-climbing exercises as part of the program, though I do them occasionally, about 5 to 10 times a month.
I see to it that I do exercise at least 45 minutes a day.
