My diabetes story
Diabetes is a disorder that can strike anyone, at any time and it can be relentless.
My father did suffer from diabetes but I never thought it would come knocking on my door too. However, life had other plans for me as I found out 15 years ago that I too was diagnosed with this debilitating disease.
But what's interesting is that it wasn't just genetics alone that brought this condition to me. No! It was work pressure – something we all face in our daily lives – which triggered the onset of diabetes within me.
And when I got tested, imagine my shock when my HbA1c levels were off the charts at 15! Along with diabetes came high cholesterol which only added to my worries and complications.
How was FFD introduced?
It was Dr. B. M. Hegde's video through which I got to know about FFD.
What made me select FFD?
I had begun facing diabetes complications like a tingling sensation, and had already undergone cataract surgery. By this time, I had come to know diabetes is not easy to manage and I needed to do something.
Once I came to know that the FFD program was online, there was no barrier. The introductory webinar by Dr. Pramod Tripathi added to my confidence and I enrolled in Freedom from Diabetes type 2 diabetes reversal program - HTP immediately.

Reversal story
One thing that I would like to mention here is that I was misled to the point where I stopped taking my medicine for an entire year.
This worsened my condition dramatically. That's when FFD came into my life like a ray of sunshine! The team at FFD was exceptional in their support and guidance as they helped me get back on track with my diabetes management plan.
Since then, things have improved beyond measure! My diabetes medication has been reduced by half; bringing down my HbA1c to 6.8 from 15.
And let's not forget about my weight loss journey – what started out as just shedding pounds turned out to be an incredible transformation! From being at 87 kg earlier, now proudly standing at 74.5 kg and counting!
My waist size too has gone down remarkably from 47 inches all the way down to an impressive size 34 inches which means medium-sized clothes are finally fitting perfectly!!
I go to the gym regularly, do cardio, lift weights and cross-train. I can cover 1 km in 6 minutes which I think is a good achievement.
