Hello all,

I'm K. Swarupa, a retired Central Government employee from Asansol, West Bengal.

My diabetes story

In the year 2007, a series of symptoms including heightened thirst, increased hunger, weight loss, and persistent tiredness emerged, signaling a shift in my health.

Given that none of my family members had a history of diabetes, I remained oblivious to the fact that these symptoms could be indicative of such a condition.

However, the subsequent tests unveiled the reality – I was diagnosed with diabetes, which came as a significant blow.

The journey ahead required insulin administration to manage my blood sugar levels, and as time passed, my insulin intake had escalated to a daunting 60 units per day by the time I sought assistance from Freedom from Diabetes (FFD).

How was FFD introduced?

In 2019, I had the opportunity to visit Pune due to my daughter's educational pursuits in the city. It was during this period that I first became acquainted with Freedom from Diabetes (FFD).

What made me choose FFD?

Being reliant on insulin and medications never resonated well with me. The prospect of Freedom from Diabetes (FFD) held promise and a glimmer of hope.

While I was genuinely convinced about its potential, the constraints of my professional commitments hindered my immediate enrollment.

Balancing work and dedicating time to the program posed challenges that prevented me from joining at that point.

As soon as I retired from my job, I promptly became a part of FFD's program for reversing type 2 diabetes, known as HTP.

Reversal story

My journey with FFD has been a fascinating one, I must admit. As previously mentioned, I was reliant on a significant dose of insulin, around 60 units, along with medication to manage my sugar levels.

The initial phase of the program took me by surprise as my insulin requirement actually increased. This left me somewhat perplexed about the direction of my health.

However, with consistent adherence to the program over time, a positive transformation began to unfold. My insulin intake gradually diminished, and I now stand at 34 units per day, a substantial improvement from before.

Another noteworthy change was in my weight, which saw a positive shift from 55-56 kg to a healthier 59.5 kg.

My current HbA1C level is approximately 7.5, a significant improvement from the previous range of 10.5 to 11 before I started FFD. Additionally, I have been able to reduce my medication for cholesterol and blood pressure as well.

Yet, the most remarkable aspect of my journey is the broader impact on my overall well-being. The inner transformation phase of FFD greatly bolstered my mental resilience, alleviating stress and enhancing my mental state.

I've also uncovered a newfound athletic inclination, embracing a gym routine that occupies around 2-2.5 hours of my daily schedule.

FFD's encouragement to engage in gym activities has been pivotal. Notably, I've managed to perform 34-36 Surya namaskars daily and aspire to progress to 108.

Although I continue to rely on insulin and medications, the marked enhancement in various facets of my health is undeniable. For this positive shift, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to FFD.
